Superiority
L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate sesquimagnesium salt is used in biocatalytic dephosphorylation, cell differentiation, and tissue engineering research. Also potentially utilized in gene repression studies.
Phosphoric acid L-ascorbyl magnesium can be stably compounded into cosmetic of forms such as cream, lotion and powder. With a high absorbability into skin, this product is rapidly transformed into vitamin C by phosphatase in the body and inhibits from producing melanin causing sunburn, age spots, and freckles. In addition, by its actions of promoting collagen to generate and control the formation of lipid peroxide which are known as the actions of vitamin C, this item is expected to have the effect of preventing a rough skin and maintaining skin tension.
Details
magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (magnesium-1-ascorbyl-2phosphate) is a stabilized, synthetically derived version of vitamin C. It is reported to be as effective as vitamin C in regulating collagen biosynthesis, and as an anti-oxidant.
L-Ascorbic acid is essential for the synthesis of collagen, with deficiency resulting in scurvy.1 Notably, humans and other primates, guinea pigs, and certain other animals lack an enzyme necessary for vitamin C synthesis.1 L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (AA2P) is a long-acting ascorbic acid derivative that stimulates collagen expression and formation and is used in human cell culture.2,3 It may be included in media to enhance the survival of human embryonic stem cells or increase the growth and replicative lifespan of human corneal endothelial cells.4,5 AA2P is also used to drive osteogenic differentiation in human adipose stem cells and in human mesenchymal stromal/stem cells.6,7,8
